Meet The Team

Shaz – Charity founder
I’m Shaz, Riv’s stepmum. I was a teacher for 25 years, working hard to provide young people with brighter futures. In 2016 my world changed forever and I had to rebuild my life with my own ‘alternate future’. I helped Ben (Riv’s Dad) to set up the River Reeves Foundation and then in July 2018 I stepped back from teaching and concentrated on making the RRF as good as it could be. In Dec 2018 I opened our first Vintage Viola in the Cockhedge Centre, Warrington.

In July 2019 we moved to our current location in the Golden Square, Warrington.

I love fashion, I love shopping, and I love mooching. I wanted to create something special that shoppers could come and share. I am passionate about the reducing the environmental impact that fast fashion has on our world. Every time we wash, repair or upcycle a piece of clothing we are breathing new life into that piece.

All our clothing is carefully selected and lovingly prepared for sale. Vintage Viola Online is just a whiff of our flagship store but I hope it gives you a taster of what we are about.

If you are local to Warrington come and give us a visit. You will not be disappointed.

If you call by on a Saturday you may be lucky enough to hear some live music at our ‘Saturday Sessions’.

Vintage Viola Employee Photo

Hi I’m Frances and I have helped to make VV Online a reality. I have always loved fashion and clothes, especially vintage and pre loved, after my mother introduced me to antique fairs as a child. The vintage style is timeless and missing in today’s fashion so I love shopping for it. Working at Vintage Viola is fast paced and ever changing and there is never a dull moment which suits my personality.

I was a stylist for the American company Stella & Dot, in jewellery and accessories and loved the ethos and female creativity within this company, as well as interacting with people as a job.

Being part of Sharon’s and Ben’s vision for the foundation is exciting and something that I’m grateful and excited about. I’m looking forward to helping make Vintage Viola and VV Online the success that they deserve.

Jan - Manager Vintage Viola

I'm Jan, I am one of the managers of the flagship store. I’ve over 15yrs experience in retail in all areas, but coming from an art background my love is merchandising and display.

I studied general arts, specialising in textiles and went on to do fashion and textiles further. I have a passion for history particularly costume/clothing, so I love vintage finds! Looking after and preserving the environment is important to me so reusing/upcycling and the rewearing of clothes is perfect as opposed to fast throw away fashion.

I try to be as creative as possible and love styles like ‘grannie chic’. Shaz loves my sock and shoe combo’s! My favourite eras are the 1970s, art nouveau and Regency, but I’m interested in all periods and clothing. Some absolute treasures come through Vintage Viola and I love that it's supporting such a fab creative cause.

I hope you enjoy VV online.
